The Day of the African Child, 16th June, 2017, Dodoma.
08 June, 2017 By TCRF Secretariat

The Day of the African Child presents an opportunity to focus on the work of all actors committed to the rights of children on the continent and to consolidate their efforts in addressing the obstacles hindering the realization of these rights.

The event provides an occasion for Governments, Civil Societies, international institutions, and communities to renew their ongoing commitments to improve the lives of children in Tanzania. The theme has been selected by the African Committee of Expert on the Rights and Welfare of the Child and adopted by the Tanzanian Government for the celebration of the DAC in 2017, entitled "The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development: Accelerating protection, empowerment, and equal opportunity for children", and the Swahili version is "Maendeleo Endelevu 2030: Imarisha Ulinzi na Fursa Sawa Kwa Watoto".

This year, the anniversary will take place in Dodoma, from 14th to 16th of June, 2017.
